A varied work experience has kept me moving forward and developing all my skills throughout my life, I enjoy the challenge of finding new work and developing news skills and strategies to become efficient in a new team. I believe that in order to stay hungry for improvement you must always continue evaluate what gaps you have in knowledge and attempt to fill them

1: Jo McCready: Development officer of UCR ( 0117 9401487 )

“Steve is a keen and enthusiastic person who has shown his willingness to get involved in many aspects of the business in order to increase his effectiveness.

He has proved especially adept at managing and delivering projects ranging from small pieces of maintenance through to larger long-term building projects.

Steve has also demonstrated an ability to manage others in a dynamic environment. He has shown high standards regarding his work and expects the same of his colleagues.

I have no hesitation in recommending him as a trusted and dependable person.”

2: Nicci Reeve ( 0117 9083491 ) – UndercoverRock Ltd

“Steve is a Enthusiastic and passionate climbing instructor and a core member of our team, as well as working to a high standard as a instructor Steve understands the importance of sales and customer relations, to meet these requirements Steve has great face to face skills and an ability to interact with people on many levels.”

A very capable and reliable instructor. On a number of occasions I have employed Steve to run/manage large charity abseils and he’s always worked to an exceptional standard.

  1. Guy Jarvis – Director Of Undercover Rock and Chief Instructor

“He[steve] has worked on NICAS courses at all levels here at Undercover Rock since their inception and knows the scheme inside out. He has also worked with the UCR Youth Climbing Squad as a coach for many years. This involves planning, structuring and delivering year long programmes to committed young talent, some of whom compete at the highest levels. Throughout this process I have observed Steve’s easygoing and ‘natural’ coaching skills – he is a talented communicator. However I have also seen some of the research and planning he undoubtedly puts into his sessions.”

  1. Henry Castle – Was Chief Instructor at UCR

“I have known Steve for over five years, working with him in a range of indoor and outdoor group climbing sessions. He has worked closely with the Undercover Rock youth climbing squad, coaching them to a high standard.”
